Business Development Manager - Base to $95K plus Commission & Full Benefits!



Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and 401K. The base salary for this position is $75,000 to $95,000 plus a generous commission structure.

Purpose of the job:

We are looking to hire an interested and qualified Sales / Business Development professional to further expand our business. The candidate will be responsible for developing new customer portfolios in the local market and Tri-State region.

Key activities:
  • Develop new marketing opportunities for new and established customers that fit and complement company objectives.
  • Study the market inclusive, but not limit of competitors, carriers, manufacturers to be updated market trends, fluctuation, change.
  • Generate leads, set appointments, establish customer contact and rapport to maintain awareness of customer's business objectives in conjunction with ongoing account maintenance.
  • Manage and maintain pipelines, respond to requests for information in a timely manner and remain proactive and responsive to prospective customers.
  • Utilize customer knowledge to develop additional or new opportunities for the organization.
  • Responsible for overall customer and/agents' relationship, both during initiation, implementation and upon transition to operation.
  • Serves as a single point of contact and interface for worldwide affiliates, sales team, internal air/ocean sales personnel and/agents' on new or existing business.
  • Protect the company benefit by strictly complying all policies, regulations.
  • Effectively interacts with other departments including, the account management, operation & logistics teams, and finance department.
  • Timely submission of sales report to direct manager or higher levels when required.

Proven knowledge of airfreight, and road product
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • Strategic thinking and statistical analysis skills

Education et experience:
  • Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience in Logistics & Freight Forwarding industry with exposure to sales and business development.
  • With acumen selling, International Airfreight / Seafreight / Import / Export / Customs Brokerage / Supply chain solutions
  • Sales experience within the Healthcare, LUX & Cosmetics verticals preferred
  • Must have good persuasion skills and be highly motivated
  • Be proactive, resourceful with the ability to work well independently or in groups
