The Role
Are you a highly motivated and experienced sales professional? A leading service provider to the global shipping industry is seeking a Business Development Manager to plan and carry out direct sales activities to attain new accounts in accordance with agreed sales and business plans.

The key responsibilities of a Business Development Manager include, but are not limited to:
  • Solicit and secure business, while maintaining and developing both your own and assigned house accounts.
  • Supporting trade lane growth with overseas offices.
  • Negotiating both buy and sell rates with customers and carriers using internal resources where relevant.

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Business Development Manager include:
  • Minimum 3 years' sales experience within the NVOCC/logistics/freight forwarding industry
  • Self-motivated and customer service-oriented.
  • Good communication skills, consultative sales approach and attention to detail
  • No enforceable encumbrances with prior employers.
