GENERAL POSITION OVERVIEW
Sales Support staff work in concert with Account Executives to secure business. Individuals in this group must be dynamic, balancing various facets of their workload through strong organization skills and effectively prioritizing short and long-term tasks.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Tasks include but not limited to:
- Communication with accounts, written and verbal
- Rate requests
- Contract creation & amendments, all trades, all directions
- Problem resolution with clients, including interface with internal HMM stakeholders
- Detention & demurrage mitigations
- Production of reports, including sales performance, PIERS and others as required by outside staff
- Professional appearance and behavior at all times
ADDITIONAL DUTIES/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Participate in sales meetings with account executives; attend industry-related events and client functions hosted by Hyundai. Nothing in this position description restricts management's right to assign or reassign essential and non-essential duties and responsibilities to this position at any time
Individual must be able to perform the essential duties to a satisfactory level. Requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability necessary to support the position.
Literate in MS Office Suite and general computer skills. Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask is crucial.
High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required; college degree preferred.
ENVIRONMENT/ EQUIPMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Normal office environment uses computer, calculator, telephone, fax, copy machine, printer, and document shredder. This job operates in a professional office environment not generally exposed to severe differences in heat or cold and having no unusual physical demands or challenges. May require occasional lifting/carrying of up to 20 pounds.
Good emotional intelligence, effective interaction with callers, visitors, managers and co-workers and self-management are keys to success in the role.
