International Supply Chain Director - Full Time

Summary of the Position:

The International Supply Chain Director will lead the international supply chain team in developing and executing the team's international strategies in support of the company's operational requirements and business needs. The Director will implement programs that improve our speed, efficiency, and resource use to increase our overall revenue and provide exemplary service for our customers. This Director will be an integral part of the overall international team and will collaborate with all other departments to meet the international business needs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead international supply chain team and network, including third-party manufactures, vendors, and suppliers
• Assess the current supply chain network and make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations to meet business needs
• Know regulatory requirements needed to ship and move products internationally
• Acts as a liaison between Marketing, Operations, Product Development, Regulatory, Finance and Quality to assure that the desired product is delivered on-time and at the agreed upon cost
• Work with Operation Management, Purchasing, Contract manufactures and Materials Management teams to ensure operational goals are met
• Comply with safety and corporate guidelines on proper business ethics and standards
• Leads the warehouse and distribution process and technology planning for international products
• Coordinates the demand planning process to ensure on-time delivery of product assortment at lowest possible cost
• Negotiate 3PL rates plus cost for inbound and outbound freight
• Develop and gain approval of annual supply chain plans and budgets
• Support Product Development to identify suppliers available for sourcing
• Review, analyze, and clarify quote packages from vendors and suppliers
• Coordinate and resolve issues regarding existing and new products
• Interact with customers to ensure that all requirements are being met
• Create and manage the international supply chain strategy consistent with Nutramax's strategic goals and objectives
• Promote "lean" initiatives and identify sourcing efficiencies via benchmarking, competitive quotes, and resourcing
• Maintain supplier relationships
• Develop new supply sources and vendors as needed
• Negotiate blanket purchase orders when appropriate and monitor pricing during the period of the relationship
• Ensure compliance of raw materials, environmental and safety regulations and act in compliance with US and International laws
• Responsible for corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in the event of a CMO or distribution incident
• Communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function within a team environment
• Perform other assigned duties as may be required to meet company objectives

Job Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
• Proven track record for leading a supply chain team to execute corporate strategies in view of aggressive timelines
• Must exhibit strong organizational leadership and team building skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
• Experience successfully managing third-party manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain functions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must exhibit significant computer experience in a Windows environment, with expert level experience with Microsoft Excel and other relevant programs
• Must be able to travel internationally and or possibly relocate, potentially 15-25% travel

Education and Experience: A Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering or business-related area with a minimum 7 years of international supply chain management in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a regulated industry. APICS Certified. Expert with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
