Customer Service Representative w/emphasis on Asian Trade Lanes!

The successful candidate must be a Customer Service professional, energetic, can work independently, and has acumen to provide logistical services to various types of companies, and excellent computer skills.

Job Description:

This role demands that you execute SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). This position is primarily responsible for working traffic import files completely. Coordinating import shipments with overseas Agents, ISF filing, invoicing, and quoting. Communication and follow up with customers and all parties within the supply chain to ensure we provide on time deliveries and excellent customer service from all points throughout all countries.

  • Answers all e-mails the day they are received.
  • Provides customer statistics regarding shipments via e-mail, fax, or through verbal transmissions.
  • Process new rate requests, especially during the booking portion, along with pertinent information to pricing for rate submission and approval from customer.
  • Ensures booking and rate information are correct based son SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) in order to instruct overseas as to how to proceed.
  • Sends bookings to customers for approval and relays information to origin agent daily.
  • Keeps communication flowing with customers on a daily basis to ensure the highest customer service.
  • Total coordination of import shipments, handling all aspects of the file from booking until delivery.

Job Requirements:
  • Must have experience with Asia (China) to USA trade lane
  • Applicant must have Import/Export, Ocean Freight forwarding, NVOCC experience.
  • Candidate must possess excellent Customer Service skills
  • Loyal, responsible and mature
  • 4-year degree
  • 5-10 years experience is required
  • High knowledge of computers (MS Office), fast typist, able to multitask
  • A good business sense, and most of all a desire to continuously increase revenues for DNA Supply Chain Solutions.
