Provides inventory and receiving support for warehouse management and supervisory staff. Maintains the warehouse in a safe and sanitary manner.
Responsibilities include physical product checks (placing product on/off hold), counts, system order entry (VCB's), clerical data entry, and filing.
Check stock status daily for close items. Advise buyers of close/short status.
Perform cycle counts and verify against stock status.
Interface with purchasing, warehouse, inventory, and customer service.
Highlight problem areas for follow-up by the necessary department.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or Equivalent and at least 2 years food distribution experience. Need to be competent in all Microsoft Office applications, AS400 experience preferred.
Work is light in nature. Most of the day is spent on a cherry picker counting product. There is some physical labor if we need side loads done.
Must be able to read at a distance close to the eyes and at arms length, with or without correction. Must be able to communicate clearly via telephone and in person to shippers, vendors, customers, and other company personnel.
Most of the day is spent in the warehouse with three temp zones. Cooler, Freezer, and Dry. Freezer is -10 degrees. Fifty percent of the time in the freezer area doing counts.
