Pay Range: $50k - $100K/year

We are located in beautiful Southern California and works with the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach moving containers for all export and import needs to 48 states. We are dedicated to managing the transportation needs of manufacturers and distributors in all industries across the nation.

Job Description:

We are looking for an Energetic, Responsible, and Organized individual to assist in the growth of our harbor/port division. You will handle sales, prospecting, maintaining the existing customer base as well as assisting with the operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • 1 years of experience working in a drayage company.
  • 1 years doing sales and customer service- Preferably in a trucking company.
  • Cultivate new sales leads to establish business.
  • Sell and negotiate ULS' services.
  • Provide quotes for current and prospective clients.
  • Update and maintain Transportation Management System and CRM.
  • Ability to make phone calls. Spend more than four hours on the telephone every day.
  • Responsible for securing and maintaining new business.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients.
  • Tech Savvy, and great with learning new programs and training others.
  • Use all the resources available and search new methods and resources to have great success in getting new customers and increasing the volume from existing customers.
  • Proactively identify problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Provide follow-up customer satisfaction with clients as needed.
  • Achieve individual, team, and company goals.
  • Visit customers and clients when needed.

Required Skills:
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Must possess a strong work ethic.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to negotiate rates, sell services, and build professional relationships via telephone and email.
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written), problem-solving, and decision- making skills
  • Highly self-motivated, self-starter individual who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
  • Capable of operating and handling stress and tension in a fast paste environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office or Gmail Suite.
  • Strong computer and people skills
  • Excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking
  • Positive Attitude and great with following instructions.
  • Be willing to help other departments when required, and they need help.
  • Being punctual and have an excellent attendance record.
  • Be friendly and very professional in treating customers and employees.

Qualified candidates must be ready to start immediately or within three weeks.
