Job Description:

SM Line is seeking a Ocean Container Equipment in the Greater Phoenix Area (Chandler).  In this role, we are looking for an active leader with strong communication skills who is enthusiastic, passionate, dedicated and a self-starter that is willing to grow with us. Ocean Carrier experience is preferred. This job is for an office based M&R position, not a warehouse position!

Responsibilities:

The position is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Receive, audit and approve/decline repair estimates for ocean containers from several repair vendors
  • Research, bill and collect repair costs to liable parties
  • Manage and report on M&R budgets and costs
  • Liaison between departments and vendors on the handling of damaged equipment
  • Reconcile cases for lost or stolen equipment

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of related experience
  • Logistics knowledge to help understand the operational flow of ocean containers
  • Strong working knowledge of PC's, computer software, excel
  • Position requires a high skill level in organization and planning
  • Candidate should possess strong communication and relationship building skills to support ongoing communication with vendors
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required!
  • IICL (Institute of International Container Lessors) Certification in container repair preferred but not required
  • Would require occasional travel for meetings with vendors and field audits
