Purpose of Role

As part of the HQ Materials Management Organization, this position leads the development, management and direct inventory replenishment strategies for ingredients, packaging, and WIP as applicable for the their Business Unit. The goal is to optimize the balance between supply availability, inventory investment and risk of obsolescence. They will develop and execute RPW inventory reduction initiatives with plants andexternal vendors. This position will deliver on all inventory reduction goals for every plant within the BU. Execute all commercialization and promotional activities within the Materials Management function. Full engagement and interaction with cross-functional team members including Marketing, Sales, Finance, Commercialization, Supply Chain, External Suppliers, Procurement, and External Manufacturing to successfully launch all projects. They will act as expert in subject of materials management, driving improvements in processes and metrics to deliver annual goals of Cash Flow, Waste, and Service. Managing part pend of US RP Materials Network of $.9B, and HUB RP $.35B

Main Responsibilities

  • Retrieves and organizes future requirements and inventory data from systems, plants and vendors to support Materials Management replenishment strategies. Ensure accuracy of data based on supply planning process.
  • Waste: Maintains spreadsheets for inventory tie-outs and circulates destruction orders for approval. Ensure appropriate run out of materials minimizes waste and communicates with Brand & FInance leadership
  • Expedites deliveries and addresses availability and service issues with plants, vendors, and supply organizations. Including assisting with decision making around prioritization of production/plant allocation.
  • "Drive collaborative capacity meetings with key vendors to identify and correct areas of concern to ensure a continuous supply of materials.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and goals for RPW & Waste Targets. Lead in annual budgeting process for RPW.
  • Act as subject matter expert and go to person for process understanding. Lead Business Projects/Iniatives and Governance support for continuous improvement.
  • Provide centralized communication to senior leadership and stakeholders on all messages relating materials planning, execution, and coverage for continuous production.
  • Participate in all commercialization activities and manage material supply and communication.
  • Procurement Linkage to Commodity & Ingredient Spend Area and LPR Organization. Lead in cross border, cross category planning process and issue resolution.
  • Provide post discontinued seaonal or discontinuation assessment to drive year over year improvement.
  • Manage Direct Reports for ingredient and commodity focus areas.

Required

  • 4 years Bachelor Degree
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Supply Chain related discipline
  • Proficiency in MS Office; Advanced Excel; MRP and reporting tools (SAP, SAPBI) a plus
  • Dealing with ambiguity - Experience with business process and issue analysis
