Reporting directly to the Vice-President, the Marketing Program Director is responsible for managing the General Merchandise Categories, Health and Beauty Care, Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic Beverages and Core Partner Affiliate Marketing Program Management. Additional responsibilities include program analysis & compliance reporting, category analysis and vendor analysis.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Category Program Support

  • Key program rebate / fixture tracking
  • Division assortment analysis
  • Vendor meeting prep including vendor performance and analysis
  • Proactively develop and present compelling strategies and tactics that drive category sales and grow share by utilizing fact-based insights
  • Works closely with vendors to analyze data and extract meaningful and actionable insights
  • Develop planogram's using planogram software working with Retail Services team.
  • Provide data for Category Management decisions
    • Produce category ranking reports
    • Produce required data for vendor negotiation as needed
    • Provide appropriate data to vendors and divisions
  • Manage specialty display racks including:
    • Costing, quantity, ordering, analysis of inventory levels
    • Communication with divisions
    • Negotiate best prices and alternate sources for racks
  • Review and update of corporate schematic programs for all assigned categories
    • Research products for planograms
    • Update planograms as item changes occur
    • Communicate quarterly recap of item updates
  • Develop and maintain product promotion Promo Power marketing programs
    • Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to plan and execute national promotional program Promo Power
    • Drive incremental division level execution
    • Grow program sales to customers

Core Partner Program Management:

The Core-Partner program provides Core-Mark customers with connections to key business and service partners that help them compete, stay in the game and focus on what they do best.

  • Manage Vendor relations
  • Conduct monthly tracking
  • Provide Division Program support
  • Assist with Trade Show support
  • Maintain project schedules by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 4-7 years of Category Management / data analytics / Shopper Marketing
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Highly organized
  • PC skills, including PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, Word and Adobe
  • Working knowledge of B2B marketing and consumer marketing
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly both in writing and verbally
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated
