Responsibilities:
  • Monitor supplier market and industry developments
  • Monitors and submits monthly key productivity reports in order to control risk and detect potential problems
  • Development of Regional procurement strategy for responsible categories in close coordination with Areas and departments at GSP
  • Participate in projects and competence teams at the area and regional level
  • Prepare tender, execute negotiations and contracts for Region RNA
  • Definition of cost and quality targets (KPI / SLAs)
  • Analyze and monitor supplier volumes and conditions
  • Participate in Supplier discussions outside the context of negotiations (regular exchange on performance)
  • Development of logistic concepts / logistic alternatives
  • Adapt Procurement best practices to responsible categories
  • Develops new business processes for smoother workflows
  • Assists staff with trouble shooting issues and handles elevated problems
  • Coordinate access and training for proprietary systems for the Procurement staff. Makes certain that all departmental and functional training requirements are fulfilled.
  • Review procurement processes and implement improvements
  • Ensures consistent application of Hapag-Lloyd policies to all personnel actions

Requirements:
  • Communication– Due to the importance of maintaining relationships with suppliers, needs to have excellent communication skills and be comfortable talking to all levels of management (internal or external).
  • Mathematical– Must be able to check and double check all of the facts and figures which back up their analysis and recommendations to management.
  • Excel knowledge – Working with data, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
  • Power Point Knowledge – Experienced in creating power point presentations.
  • SAP – working knowledge of SAP.
  • Financial Acumen – Making informed purchasing decisions involves the implementation of financial skills such as accurately budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ability to work independently -–Be able to prioritize tasks and work efficiently on their own.
  • High level of organization –Protect their organizations from as much unnecessary expenditure as possible by being highly organized at all times.
